First Aid at Work Courses London and the UK

 

This is a 3 day first aid at work qualifying course, which is HSE approved as required by the First Aid Regulations 1981. The 3 day HSE first aid at work course was introduced on the 1 st October 2009.

Course Content / First Aid at work

The delegate will be taught in the following key areas based on HSE approved first aid at work . The course will be tailored to individual workplaces where appropriate. Subjects taught:  

  • Acciident book/ RIDDOR
  • Priorities of first aid
  • The unconscious casualty and how to treat them
  • Treating someone who has stopped breathing and whose heart has stopped/ CPR
  • Actions to deal with wounds & bleeding
  • Looking after a casualty who is shocked
  • Recognising various medical conditions such as epilepsy,diabetes and asthma
  • The treatment of broken bones and soft tissue injuries such as strains and sprains
  • Recognising hypothermia and heat exhaustion and their treatment
  • The treatment of burns and scalds
  • How to help a poisoned victim





Assessment

Delegates will be continually assessed by their tutor throughout the course. At the end of the course delegates will be assessed twice in their practical skills (CPR & Injury) by external assessor(s). Upon successful completion of these assessments the delegate will be awarded a HSE First Aid at Work certificate which will be valid for three years.

Open first aid at work courses in London take place in central London ( near Tower Bridge ). We also run open courses in other cities: Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield. By arrangement we can provide you with bespoke in-house courses to suit your specific training needs. Cost

First aid at work courses in London cost £225 per person to book on one of our open courses. The cost of a group booking of upto a maximum of 12 delegates is £1195. These prices are inclusive of VAT and certification. The course is a three 3 day training session and is HSE approved.
