First Aid Courses BirminghamThe first aid at work course is a comprehensive 3 day course, which will cover a wide range of First aid emergencies and provide the delegate with the skills necessary to deal with an emergency situation in a calm and confident manner, whilst being both calm and confident. The training meets the legal requirements of the First aid at work regulations 1981.

The course must last a minimum of 3 days over at least 18 hours. The course can be run in consecutive days, but does not need to be.

Certification

The first aid at work certificate is valid for 3 years, once the candidate successfully completes the training. At the end of the 3 years a 2 day First aid at work re-qualification course can be taken. it is strongly recommended by the health and safety executive that candidates attend a half day annual refresher.

The maximum number of candidates that can attend is 12. If you are looking to train more staff, this can be done if there are more instructors.

At the end of the training an assessment needs to be successfully completed by each candidate, to ensure that the candidate has absorbed the information.
